THIS IS FREE TO RESIDENTS OF CASNOVIA TOWNSHIP!

BRING YOUR ID, IT WILL BE CHECKED!!

Please separate drop off items into the following 4 groups or loads.

  1. Scrap metal, flattened fencing, and appliances.
  2. Bagged, barreled or boxed garbage, fuel tanks cut in ½ and other large items.
  3. A Goodwill trailer will be on site for FREE E-waste recycling: TV’s, computers, laptops, printers, cell phones, VCR’s, DVD’s, batteries, power tools, microwaves, and handheld electronics like cell phones or ipods. Also accepting gently used furniture, toys, clothing and general household goods.
  4. Tire recycling—this will be separated from the clean-up and will be accessed using the north entrance of Icon. This is regulated by the county and NO LIMIT!

 

NO yard waste or brush, liquids, cement, or shovel offs.

Units with Freon $10.00 for disposal.

The Household Hazardous Waste Program holds scheduled Household Hazardous Waste Collection from 9AM – 12PM at 1300 Keating Ave, Muskegon on the following dates:

Every 2nd & 4th Friday —  May Thru October

May 26, 2023                              August 25, 2023

June 9, 2023                             September 8, 2023

June 23, 2023                             September 22, 2023

July 14, 2023                                October 13, 2023

The following items can be collected at the Hazardous Waste Collection

  • Mercury/Mercury containing devices (i.e. Compact Florescent Light bulbs, mercury thermometers or thermostats, etc.)
  • Petroleum products
  • Used Oil, if it can’t be recycled
  • Automotive Fluids
  • Antifreeze
  • Pesticides
  • Insecticides
  • Herbicides
  • Aerosol cans (containing hazardous materials)
  • Acids (i.e. Batteries, Muriatic Acid)** 
  • Bases (i.e. Drain cleaner)
  • Alkaline and Rechargeable(Li-Ion, Ni-Cad, etc) batteries. No Lead Acid (Car) batteries are accepted**
  • Other products with approval
